Why are Starter Motors Significant?

Starter motors are needed to start an engine, usually automotive engines. This is done by means of converting electricity into mechanical energy which is then utilized by gears to set the engine into motion. Once an engine starts rotating, it begins generating its own power and the starter motor then disengages.
